“This richly developed painting was painted on-site near the Yaquina Head Marine Gardens. I was thinking at the time about how I got to the area too late to capture the scene I intended, but this painting is the lesson that if one is open there is always another door or window that holds the beauty of the moment. But we have to be open to that which we did not expect.”
